Stabilization and the UN – Cedric de Coning (NUPI)

Dr. Cedric de Coning and Daniel Hyslop discuss what stabilization means in the UN context

On 17 and 18 November, Interpeace in cooperation with the Atlantic Council and the German Bundesakademie für Sicherheitpolitik (BAKS) organized a virtual seminar on “Rethinking Stability”.

Session II of the seminar focused on emergent trends and challenges in active conflict and post-conflict stabilization missions. What are the lessons learned and what does sustained success look like in stabilizing conflict-affected countries?

In this video, Dr. Cedric de Coning (NUPI and EPON coordinator) discusses what stabilization means in the UN context in dialogue with Daniel Hyslop (Director of Policy, Learning and the Interpeace Advisory Team).
